Following its smash-hit Tony Award-winning Broadway run starring Matthew Broderick, Kathleen Marshall's "Nice Work" is bringing its old-time glamor and farcical comedy to stages across the country on its first national tour.
At the height of the Roaring Twenties, a group of outrageous characters gather in New York to celebrate the high-society wedding of wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter. But when the groom meets Billie Bendix, a bubbly and feisty bootlegger, she steals his heart - and chaos is sure to ensue! Will Jimmy wind up marrying his fiancee as planned - or will he let his heart run away with his head?
"Nice Work.." features some of George and Ira Gershwin's most beloved and recognizable tunes such as "But Not For Me," "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," "I've Got a Crush on You" and "Someone to Watch Over Me." This fresh and funny song-and-dance spectacular has a book written by Joe DiPietro (Memphis) and is directed by multi Tony-winning Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes).;
