What is Kinky Boots about?

After the sad passing of his beloved father, Charlie Price heads back to the northern city of Northampton in order to take over the ailing shoe factory that his father so loved. Nearing bankruptcy, Charlie must think quick in order to save the business. Struggling for ideas, it's not till a chance encounter with the whipsmart drag queen Lola, that Charlie and Price and Son's gets the reinvention it so desperately needs.

Under Lola's guidance, Charlie puts a new business plan into action - Gone are the old-fashioned traditional shoes and in their place enters custom women's shoes for men! It's might sound like a crazy scheme, but it might just work...
