Camelot

Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment, that was known as Camelot!
Why see Camelot?
The Once And Future King
Lerner and Lowe's 1960 classic will be putting up its round table at the Benedum Center this summer, courtesy of Pittsburgh CLO. Based on the legend of King Arthur and his Round Table, Camelot takes us on a journey back to a time of Knights, Princesses, Witches, and Wizards, wrapped up in an evocative and lushly romantic score.
What Is The Story of Camelot?
Enchanting generations since its Broadway debut in 1960, we follow Arthur as he marries the maiden Guinevere and introduces a code of honor and justice to his Knights, bringing peace to the Kingdom. But not everyone is as keen to adhere to his idealism. Divisions soon follow, and not just from outside the castle walls. Courage, fidelity, love, and goodness are to be tested, and it is up to Arthur to choose the kind of ruler he must be.
