Join Hobo Johnson on his brand new 2025 tour! Alternative hip-hop artist Hobo Johnson began performing music at the young age of 15. Since then, he has enlisted the help of his band titled 'The Lovemakers' and released six studio albums, with the latest 'Hobo Johnson Drunks!' being released earlier this year. Johnson has received four Sacramento Area Music Awards including Artist of the Year, Best Hip-Hop/Rap, Best Emcee and Best New Artist.

Johnson's music has been described as "a mixed bag of broken hearts, bizarre tales and awkwardly relatable moments" by NME and an "odd combination of emo, indie rock and sad-boy trap-rap" by Riff Magazine.

Hobo Goes All In

Hobo Johnson’s performance presented an angst-y preacher/psychologist who delivered auto-fiction slam-punk poetry with a humorous touch of emotional sadness. His frustration and anger at our broken leaks out through Shakespearean lyrics. He was a likable performer, crossing boundaries with rebellion but no physical hostility or violence. The show was dappled in rainbow lights and blasts of confetti, water, and rose petals. I believe Frank Lopes Jr. wants it all, not just a dog, and he speaks for a generation who does too. It’s a typical story of the emotional pain that accompanied both risking for success and settling for safety. Hobo went all in for it. And we are richer for it!! ... Read more
