Dates to be announced

Official dates for this production are still to be announced. We'll update this webpage as soon as we know what they are.

It's the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but not quite as you know it. Written by Charlie Smalls and William F. Brown, The Wiz reimagines the story of Dorothy and Co. with an entirely African-American cast and a score infused with infectious gospel and soul. Among the show's best known numbers are 'Be the Lion' and 'Ease on Down the Road'.

Originally debuting on Broadway in 1975, The Wiz won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score, and was later adapted into the cult movie of the same, which starred Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.

Okay so to start off, I went to see the final "dress rehearsal" for the show at 7:30PM since they said it wasnt open for the public and ohhhhh my wow and I mean OHHH MY WOWWW. All, ALLL of them can sing, the backup dancers, every SINGLE one of them can sing, the dancing, the creativity, the EVERYTHING about this was beautiful and for sure an unforgettable experience, I'd definintly go and see it again if I had the chance to. If you're thinking about going, GO WITH THAT THOUGHT because you'll be blown away. My favorite part was the whole thing if I'm being honest but when we came back from intermission, they ATEEEE that up like a MILLION percent. I also loved how they changed sets in between the singing/dancing parts, they were really smooth with it. Loved loved LOVED the whole show, 2 and a half hours worth my time. The consession stand wasn't overly expensive, drinks $4, cookies $3. No chips but its cheap stuff. There were cheese & crackers, with pepperoni $6, without it its $5. ... Read more
