Outstanding show
Absolutely everything wrapped into one , nice job Eagles and thank you for all your years
Great Concert
Saw the Eagles last night at St. Louis' ScottTrade Center; it was awesome! Don Henley, Joe Schultz , Timothy Schmit were fantastic; Vince Gill was amazing and seemed to fit in flawlessly - the music sounded the same as the old days! It is so fun to see the older guys still rocking - and it was a nice tribute to co-founder Glenn Frey to have his son Deacon playing his dad's music. That kid has a lot of talent; I am sure he is going to go places on his own. I am not really a concert goer but have liked their music for a while ( unfortunately I wasted my formulative years in the 70s and 80s not being too interested in music and now all these guys are the classics!!My daughter , 23, said she liked it a lot too! The crowd was pretty well behaved, more middle aged folks probably since this is a 70's band.... they gave about 2 1/2 hours of music, no opening band, no intermission, and 3 encore songs, one of which was Hotel California ! Don't arrive late!
Eagles
I first saw Eagles in Jersey city in probably 1977ish. Boz Scaggs was the starter! Loved both since! Have seen Eagles 6 or 7 times. Never bad!!
The Soundtrack of my Life
Loved the Eagles! I figured they would sound LIKE what I remember. They WERE what I remember. Made me a little weepy. Opened with acapella “7 Bridges Road. “. That was a moment to savor! Surrounded by young people who were also into the concert. Made me glad this music has stood the test of time!
Nailed It
I have loved the Eagles since I first heard them in the early seventies, but never got to see them until March 16th at Charlotte. Great concert!! I was not disappointed. Vince Gill is a great addition and I was impressed with his singing and guitar skills. Steuert Smith, Deacon Frye, and Joe Walsh also just shredded it. Such a treat to see these guys playing together and watching them produce epic solos and duals throughout. Don Henley sounded good, as usual, and it was fun to see him work the drums almost effortlessly. I also appreciate the other talented members of the band who added depth and allowed a lot of the other guys to do other musical parts during the concert. Appreciate Vince Gill filling in for Steely Dan (disappointed about that no-show) and playing with another very talented guitarist for the opener. So glad he is with the band. Thankful that I got to see these guys!!!
