Why, this show could be systematic, hydro-matic, ultra-matic. Why, it could be greased lightning!

Why See Grease?

The first Muny production of Grease!

Before Zak Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, the teen love story that had us all hooked was that of Danny and Sandy, two hopelessly devoted star-crossed lovers from different cliques, trying to navigate the problems of love, life and fitting in in Senior Year 1959.

With pompadours, poodle-skirts, this is a retro slice of life, with heart that keeps you rooting for Danny and Sandy all the way through! Featuring classic songs, such as 'You're the One That I Want,' 'Sandradee,' 'Hopelessly Devoted to You', among many, many other cherished tracks, Grease, is the logical choice for a great night out at The Muny.

Synopsis

Greaser Danny meets the wholesome and goody-goody Sandy on Summer vacation before Senior year. Casting aside his leather jacket, they fall in love before going their separate ways, maybe for-ever.

But life has other plans for Danny and Sandy and in a turn of fate, she transfers to Rydell High, where Danny, as leader of Kenickie and the motor-head T-Birds, must decide if he wants to keep his cool, or get the girl.

Sandy, meanwhile, is adopted by the glamorous Frenchy and the Pink Ladies, and has ideas of her own about how to get, and keep, her guy.
