Established in 1979 as part of a new concept to attract female audiences to a venue with upscale surroundings (including the ubiquitous Chippendale sofas), these guys were the world's first all-male stripping troupe to focus their business performing for mostly female audiences. By incorporating quality production values and top-notch choreography, the creation of the Chippendales helped legitimize stripping as a form of popular entertainment for both men and women.
Nowadays, the Chippendales are known worldwide and are the byword for classy yet naughty nights out, and even have their own permanent theater in Las Vegas at the Rio Resort where they perform all year round.
