City and Colour is the alias of Dallas Green, an outlet for the Canadian musician's introspective indie-folk - a ballad-laden yet punk-rock aesthetic with a more gentle and melodic bearing than Alexisonfire, the post-hardcore band he also fronts. In the wake of the release of the October 2015 release of his fifth studio album If I Should Go Before You, Green is heading out on a US tour with Toronto native and folk singer-songwriter Afie Jurvanen aka Bahamas, coming to The Pageant in St. Louis , MO , Closed January 26, 2016
The acoustic troubadour is known for his spine-chilling falsettos and bittersweet, melancholic ruminations on the nature of mortality, love and all things in between. In stark contrast to the sweaty, raucous concerts of his old band, Green puts on an intimate performance with soft moments that juxtapose anthemic, upbeat choruses.
